MELISSA DOMINGUEZ RIVERA

Attorney Dominguez has litigated a wide array of business issues and employment law matters extensively in Puerto Rico local and federal courts during the last decade. Since joining the firm, Ms. Dominguez’ federal and local litigation experience has focused principally on employment law (wrongful termination, discrimination, wage and hour claims, ADA, FMLA, and retaliation, among others), breach of contract, collection of monies, real estate law and torts, as well as bankruptcy litigation representing Chapter 7 Trustee and creditors. She has also litigated cases before the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Insurance Commissioner. Additionally, Ms. Dominguez has gained powerful insights in cases involving removal, estoppel and corporate law matters such as shareholder disputes, Directors & Officers’ fiduciary duties, and inspection of corporate books. Attorney Dominguez has ample experience reviewing and drafting employment non-competes, confidentiality agreements, executive contracts, employee handbooks, among many others.

Ms. Dominguez received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, Metro Campus, Summa Cum Laude in 2006. In 2010, she graduated from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Law with the honors of Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude, and was admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar as of the year 2010.
